Just to let you know I have got an Hisakaki today, still a small tree, but I have great hopes for its progression.

“Hamahisakaki (浜姫榊)”

Eurya Emarginata is an evergreen shrub and popular in Japan, Korea and China. This tree grows 1.8m (6 feet) height and width. We call this tree “Hamahisakaki (浜姫榊)” and often plant in a park and sides of a road.
Eurya emarginata also called Shore eurya, from East Asia and allied to the Camellia family, this evergreen shrub or small tree has yellow-brown branchlets and shallowly notched leaves on branches arranged in a fan-like pattern. Flowers are pale yellow-green and produce purple-black fruit.

A striking garden presence for sun to part shade with normal summer water. Frost hardy to USDA zone 7.

Nope.
This in the picture is the one in Arboretum, and inspired by it I will train the one I bought.
