Welcome to the forum, time and patient are the two main ingredients to bonsai. Go on youtube and go through the videos there, this will give you an idea of everything you are asking. My favourites are Graham Potter of Kaizen Bonsaiand Ryan Neil from Mirai 51cg. Best of luck
