I cant really move my trees to a better locas the garden is south facing so.gets sun all day long. Natural shading does happen but only early and late in the day.
Thats why I asked about shading.

Increased temperatures is something we all experiences and something we need to adapt to. It is caused by heat trapped in the atmosphere, not by increased sun intensity.

I was under the impression that black shade cloth was used to limit the amount of sunlight, not to decrease temperature. Losing 40% of the photosyntesis to decrease temperature by just a few degrees if at all seems like a tradeoff I am not willing to make for my trees, except for maybe the maples and azaleas. But on the other hand, I would not grow these species if I just had full southern exposure to put them in.

But I think that there are knowledge to gain here and I am curious. Please measure temperature by the foliage of the trees before and after installing the netting. Is it even possible to track a decrease in temperature and if so, how much?

This is my solution for my azalea. It gives about 60% shade and no drop in temperature.

I also keep around 150 trees in training in the greenhouse. Polycarb shades around 15-20%, but increases temperature. It has been over 40 degrees every day the last two months and they love it.

Here in Alabama we get lots of sun and lots of heat. Most of the trees are fine with the year's climate.

I have a couple in small pots that seem to be overly sensitive.? I also have a couple of very large trees that love sun and have big canopies. I put the little ones on the soil under the canopy and they seem to be very happy. That is a lot easier than making a large overhead structure.?
