You have not done anything wrong, it happens, I remove all cones as it stops growth on that part of the branch but if you want them fine.?

Hi thank you for your reply.
By me allowing the cones to grow will that stop future growth next year.?
Should I in that case remove them.
Any advice on what and what not to do will be appreciated. Thanks

It will not stop growth from the spot next year, but it will this year. I remove them as I want the growth but if you want them then leave them. It depends on where the tree is in development also, if it needs to be growing then it would be better to remove them.?

Thank you for your reply. Being very new to BonsaiI think I will remove them if its not to late as I want a bit more of an apex ? (Top) on the trees.
once again thanks for your advice.

It's not too late, just cut at the base of the cone
