Hi everyone,
I can't?find my OP?on this topic from this past winter so I am posting again. I am a first time bonsai owner and I am unsure about how to properly prepare my Chinese juniper for the winter. It typically drops to between -20C to -30C?here. The tree was received as a gift for Christmas and was inside the entirety of last winter as per suggestions on my OP, however it has been outside since the spring.?
Any details about winter care for this tree species is greatly appreciated!
Also, any suggestions about pruning/stylizing are also welcome. This tree had some bizarre limb placements so it was difficult to decide how to shape it. Picture is from last month before I removed the wires.?

Here is the OO:

Put it on the ground, let the snow cover it and forget about it until spring.
