Hi! I have a question and I’m hoping someone here can help me out. I want to create a bur oak bonsai, but I’ve had no luck with acorns. I haven’t been able to find any pre-bonsai in this species. So I’m considering buying a sapling of about two feet (I can’t find anything smaller) and working with that. My question is: Can I gradually prune it down in height so it keeps widening out and thickening but eventually is only around one and a half feet? Or would this sapling be too tall already?
