Hi,

First time bonsai owner here, it’s a carmona. It was doing really good until a 6-8 weeks ago when it developed this white crusty film on some of the leaves.

I think it will need repotting but read not to do that in winter. I’m in London, UK btw and water is hard.

What should I do?

Hi, I’m definitely not an expert, but this seems to be residue from using tap water. Is it easy to remove from the leaves? I’d suggest to use filtered water or rain water for bonsais. Good luck!
