I’ve got some azaleas to kill before I get the expensive import one. It was five plants in a big pot and it took 2 hours to divide, but eventually I’ve nicked the roots even I was bareful as possible.
Learning from the Picea (what I possibly tortured with the wrong time wiring), now I would like to ask.
What I know, I can hard pruning immediately after the end of flowering, even if I did the repotting just now. If it’s right, just give me the green light pls.

Whoops... maybe not. Who show to me that I can prune back that hard, now told to me to do this in winter. I don’t know how much I’ll kill, until I put together the puzzle from info bits, but I know it’ll coming.

I have pruned Azaleas in the beginning of Spring with no issues whatsoever, perhaps not as hard as you did, but they all bounced back.
Keep them happy and they will reward you with flowers.

Thank you, was nice For you the weather is significantly warmer, but me too I’ll try to keep them alive with some magic. If they stay with me, I won’t see flowers soon if I build trees, but when I’ll be a bit more skilled and courageous I would like to buy a nice flowering one. Hopefully in few years I’ll get rewarded from those chopped individuals also (if.. IF..).

Language of "B"?
Option 01- Bare (as in "bareroots"), which is risky if you have just divided its roots. Keeping some original soil is always safer...
Option 02- Ful (as in "full of assurance", or better, "careful"), which is always advisable when repotting.
BTW, in which soil mix have you planted the quartered azaleas?
