Hi all, complete novice to the ways of the bonsai but I was given 2 trees as birthday presents, im also trying to grow some from seeds but I’m aware that’s a longer wait.

If anyone could help ID these I’d appreciate it! Tried to get pictures of the full tree, bark and leaves so hopefully that’ll help!

I’ve had a look and I think one is a Chinese Elm and one looks like a redwood but sort of looks similar to some other species of tree.

Am I right?
