Our new beautiful ficus ginseng from Ikea is losing its leaves fast. We try to spray the surface of it’s soil every couple of days, and water it well once per week. We don’t think we’re overwatering it, maybe the opposite.

It’s near a window but never in direct sunlight, and the room isn’t particularly bright.

Any ideas of how to save our once beautiful tree??

Seems your plant is not getting enough light and it is not properly watered. As this is not a bonsai and bonsai techniques hardly apply, you will probably get a better reply on a forum for houseplants, like this one:
