The things you find when doing research.... I read this a few years ago. I encountered it again by coincidence.

Sheng Chi basically refers to growth, and in Feng Shui anything that is ‘stunted’ is essentially bad"

Buying lots of great bonsai could definitely limit one's finances... as to the karma Bonsaicreates... that's an individual thing
