I¡¯m attempting to grow these?Portulacaria Afra ¡°Lilliput¡±?as a clump. Hopefully over time, the stems will fuse together to form a thick trunk base. Wish me luck!

I don't know if they can fuse, maybe it would help to scratch them where they touch each other...

Good luck! That should make for a very interesting specimen over time. Portulacaria afra ¡®Lilliput¡¯ is vigorous enough that the stems may eventually graft and fuse where they stay in close contact, creating the appearance of a thicker, more mature trunk. Patience will be key, but the potential bonsai-style look could be well worth the wait. Be sure to post updates as it develops!
